About a year ago I was in the Philippines with SOS Children's Villages to film a documentary about the poverty and slums of Manila. While I was there I met 9 year old Angel and her family. Many are wondering what happened to Angel and how she is doing today. I can happily say that she and her family are out of the slums of Smokey Mountain, living in a better area. I am currently helping and providing for the family so that Angel doesn't have to work and can attend school instead. When I met her she told me her dream was to go to school and become a doctor, hopefully she can fulfill that dream now.
